Programs
We commission services across the Territory to ensure people experiencing mental illness have access to the right services,at the right time.
The services we commission span the stepped care continuum for people of all ages who are experiencing mental illness.
What is stepped care?
In a stepped care approach, a person presenting to the health system is matched to the least intensive level of care that suits their needs and takes into consideration the balance between intended benefits and potential risks.
To achieve this, an initial assessment is required. This is undertaken in partnership with the individual to determine suitable and appropriate treatment choices or options.
People with lived experience
We are committed to involving people with lived experience of mental illness including suicide in all aspects of commissioning services including service design and delivery of mental health programs and activities.
