Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (Congress) are currently seeking an experienced GP Locum for their Utju Clinic to provide leave cover for the resident GP. Utju is nestled in a spectacular valley in the western end of the MacDonnell Ranges.
 
Congress has expanded to become the largest Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation in the Northern Territory, providing a comprehensive, holistic and culturally-appropriate primary health care service to Aboriginal people living in and nearby Alice Springs, including five remote communities.
 
The Clinic:
Congress works in partnership with the Utju (Areyonga) community to deliver primary health care to the residents of Utju. The Utju Health Service is a community controlled health service led by the Utju Health Service Board.
 
What’s in it for you?
  • $2,000 per day
  • No on call or weekend work
  • $1000 placement bonus for working 20 days
  • One off travel bonus of $400 for travel outside placement dates
  • $400 payment for public holiday days not worked
Dates Available
  • Dates 21 June 2024  – 12 July 2024
  • Minimum 3 week placement

Transport and Accommodation
  • All transport from the nearest major airport to and from a location
  • Accommodation and vehicle will be provided
Clinic Opening Hours
  • Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
Patient Record System
  • This clinic uses Communicare, with orientation priovided if required
Eligibility to Apply
  • Must have current non-restricted registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and general practice specialisation
  • Previous experience working in Indigenous health
