NT PHN is partnering with AMSANT & The Benchmarque Group to deliver FREE in-person, interactive workshops on Chronic Conditions of the Foot and Advanced Wound Management in Darwin and Katherine. 

Places are still available in the following workshops as at 19 June:

Chronic Conditions of the Foot
Building a practical skill set for foot assessment that enables a healthcare practitioner to be competent and confident in chronic conditions of the foot basic care.

Wound Management – Advanced Practice
This learning pathway for students covers Advanced Principles of wound assessment and care, identifying appropriate wound treatment, and best practice for compliance in wound swab culture. This course teaches clinical documentation and the importance of report writing with a guide to educating patients, providing continued care and chronic wound prevention.

  • Darwin: Chronic Conditions of the Foot – Darwin at Oaks Darwin Elan Hotel Unit 31- 33 Woods St, DARWIN from 8:45am – 4:30pm this Friday 21st June
  • Katherine: Chronic Conditions of the Foot – Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre, LOT 3238 Stuart Hwy, on Monday 24th June from 8:45am – 4:30pm
  • Katherine: Wound Management Workshop – Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre, LOT 3238 Stuart Hwy, on Tuesday 25th June from 8:45am – 4:30pm

The full-day workshops are FREE and fully catered.

Who are these Workshops for?

The Chronic Conditions of the Foot Workshops are open to all Health Professionals including Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, General Practitioners, General Practice Registrars, Allied Health workers, and Others on application. These workshops are funded by the Federal Department of Health under the Chronic Disease Project through Benchmarque Group.

NT PHN has subsidised the Wound Management workshops to enable this high value opportunity for primary health care practitioners working in non-government organisations. NTG employees will be waitlisted and contacted if a spot becomes available.
