If you would like to build confidence in identifying, assessing, diagnosing and implementing effective treatment with clients with eating disorders in private practice, join this comprehensive introductory 3-day workshop  from 17th-19th Oct 2024.

Workshop Overview

This three-day workshop integrates an introduction to the eating disorders as well as comprising two days of treatment specific training. No eating disorder pre-requisite training required!  You will not only learn the CBT-E model but how to effectively integrate family work and other practical strategies to ensure you have the tools required to help clients successfully commence and progress through treatment.

The training is live and interactive. You will learn from real client testimonials and case examples, videos demonstrating the skills and you will receive take home resources.

  • How to work within a Health At Every Size (HAES®) /non-diet framework to benefit your clients

  • How to work within the Medicare system with this population
  • How to tailor the treatment to the individual’s unique formulation using a CBT-E approach
  • How to use the CBT-E model to treat your client’s ED with focus on Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, OSFED, and Binge Eating Disorder
  • How to integrate specific strategies that work for clients with EDs that are not in the CBT-E manuals or pure manual-based training
  • How to effectively draw on family systems to influence change
  • How to skill up carers to achieve best outcomes for clients
  • How to adapt treatment for older adolescents and young adults with EDs
  • How to effectively treat the eating and non-eating sides of the ED using the CBT-E model
