The Grad2Remote NT program provides a structured pathway from study to employment, with students supported into roles through NT PHN recruitment pathways.
Grad2Remote NT aims to build a sustainable pipeline of early-career health professionals into remote NT roles, strengthening the long-term workforce and improving access to primary health care for Territorians.
As part of the program, NT PHN representatives deliver tailored information sessions to university students.
Sessions are customised for nursing cohorts and specific allied health disciplines, ensuring content is relevant to field of practice. Topics covered include:
Following the sessions, students are invited to submit an expression of interest (EOI) to capture their profession, preferred placement locations and available start date.
NT PHN will contact students within 90 days of their available start date to provide structured follow-up, tailored guidance and a direct connection to recruitment pathways.
Employment opportunities may be available across a range of primary healthcare settings, including Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) and private health services. These settings may involve work in allied health services, remote clinics, community health programs and multidisciplinary teams.
Final year students interested in attending a Grad2Remote NT session are encouraged to discuss opportunities with their university course coordinator.
