What’s the role?
  • Working in a culturally diverse environment, providing a contemporary, evidence-based speech pathology service, including assessment, treatment planning and evaluation, for people presenting with a wide range of conditions and syndromes, with a focus on dysphagia and swallowing disorders
  • Working with clients and their representatives to identify individualised goals and preferences, developing dysphagia, mealtime management, and/or communication plans
  • Selecting, developing, and tailoring augmentative and alternative communication systems, programs, and resources for participants with communication needs
  • Leading and contributing to the development of individual and group programs within Carpentaria Therapy Service areas
Is this the right role for you?
  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current Certification with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Experience in the delivery of speech pathology services within a disability sector context, with a focus on dysphagia and swallowing disorders
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated clinical competency and experience in conducting assessments and writing high quality individualised assessment and program reports
NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
