Research and reports

Annual Reports
Our Annual Reports provide an overview of NT PHN’s work, achievements and performance each year. They show how we have used funding, partnerships and local insights to support primary health care across the Northern Territory.

Health workforce insights
Our health workforce insights bring together data, reports and local evidence about the NT’s primary healthcare workforce. This includes information from needs assessments, workforce planning and programs such as the Graduate Nurse Program Extension Report.
These insights help identify workforce gaps, support better planning and guide activities that strengthen recruitment, retention and development across the Territory.

Primary care insights
Our primary care insights help build a clearer picture of health needs across the Northern Territory. Through needs assessments and other planning tools, we use data, evidence and community input to identify service gaps, access barriers and areas of greatest need.
These insights guide how we plan, commission and support primary healthcare services across urban, regional and remote communities.

Health sector strategies
Our health sector strategies set out shared priorities for improving health outcomes across the Northern Territory. They support coordinated action across services, government, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and community partners.
This includes work such as strengthening the health system, improving integration, and supporting targeted responses in areas such as suicide prevention.
