Northern Territory PHN is proud to be a launch partner for Florence, a free new app built to support the learning, development and career growth of nurses.
Developed by the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA), Florence helps nurses take charge of their professional development with smart tools for CPD tracking, goal setting and opportunity matching — all in one easy-to-use app.
As a launch partner, Northern Territory nurses will have exclusive early access to Florence before it becomes available to the general public.
Why Florence?
Florence was created in response to the challenges nurses face: too many learning options, not enough time, and little visibility into their own professional growth. Florence makes it simple to:
- Get CPD recommendations tailored to your role and interests
- Track informal and formal learning activities quickly and in an Ahpra-compliant way
- Set career goals and visualise your progress over time
- Benchmark your development and uncover learning gaps
- Be matched with new opportunities — like research, mentoring, and employment
Florence is backed by APNA’s Career and Education Frameworks and supports nurses in every setting — including aged care, general practice, Aboriginal community health, education, and more.
Why it matters in the Territory
Nurses across the Northern Territory work in diverse, often remote settings — and Florence helps overcome barriers of distance and access. It connects every nurse to a broader professional community and national benchmarks, while giving them tools to grow and track their impact.
This is about recognising nursing expertise and supporting workforce retention in the Territory.
