Team Lead Occupational Therapist – Early Start – Darwin

Why Early Start?
Early Start Australia is a national organisation committed to delivering evidence-based early intervention and therapy services to children, young adults and families. 
The Early Start team are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead and develop a growing team in their Durack clinic.

What is the role?
  • Manage a caseload of children and families
  • Provide leadership and clinical supervision to a team of therapists
  • Provide expert consultation and support to the multidisciplinary team
  • Support the clinical team and oversee activity to achieve best practice, quality and outcomes for children and families
  • Develop clinic resources to ensure best practice standards and ongoing continuous quality improvement
  • Opportunity to join the remote services team to provide services to children and young people in remote NT communities
Is this the right role for you?
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration 
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment
  • Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team
  • An understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people 
  • Leadership experience highly desirable 
  • National Police Check, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker’s Screening Check
  • First Aid Certificate, Driver’s License and vehicle. 
NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
