Why Active Occupational Therapy?
Active Occupational Therapy is a practice focused on providing occupational therapy services to clients with neurological conditions. This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated and experienced team in Darwin, Northern Territory! Casual, part-time and full-time positions are available.

What’s the role?

  • Provide home and community-based rehabilitation and therapy in ADLS, Upper Limb & Cognition
  • Assistive technology assessment and prescription, including wheelchairs
  • Perform home modification assessment & prescription
  • Provide driving assessments and specialist driver training
  • Complete Functional Assessments and reports
  • Work with adult clients with a range of neurological conditions and disorders

Is this the right role for you?

  • Formal qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Hold or be eligible to obtain, current registration with OT Board of Australia
  • Rehab experience highly regarded 
  • Demonstrated experience working with adults
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills
  • Independently able to manage own caseload

NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
