All primary healthcare professionals are invited to join us for this free webinar. Dr Ashish Yadav will provide the most up-to-date information about the NT’s 2026 Immunisation Program for influenza and other vaccine preventable respiratory infections such as RSV and COVID-19. Dr Yadav will also cover the response to the current regional diphtheria outbreak

  • Dr. Ashish Yadav is a Specialist Public Health Physician and a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine. Currently, he is contributing his expertise as a Medical Advisor for the Immunisation and Rheumatic Heart Disease Control Program with NT CDC in Darwin. Ashish strives to translate research into impactful public health solutions across diverse communities.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the key changes to the 2026 seasonal influenza vaccine schedule.
2. Apply current guidelines for eligibility and timing of influenza, RSV and COVID-19 vaccinations in NT populations
3. Identify indications and administration requirements for diphtheria toxoid-containing vaccines in response to the current regional outbreak
