NAPCAN Free Workshop Creating Safe Organisations for Children & Young People, Online

NAPCAN Free Workshop Creating Safe Organisations for Children & Young People, Online

A free, online workshop, with an overview of the 10 National Principles for Child Safe Organisations

Workshop Outline

  • Developed by the Australian Human Rights Commission, this workshop includes steps that leaders can take to promote the safety, engagement and wellbeing of children and young people and prevent harm within their organisation. Help children to thrive by embedding a child safe culture in your organisation.

In light of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse we know that it is critical to embed a child safe culture into every single organisation that has anything to do with children or young people, either directly or indirectly. Leaders in organisations play a critical role in developing and maintaining a culture that values children and young people and is committed to treating their needs and their safety as the top priority.

For online workshop  : The terms and conditions of this training and certification require that all participants, including online attendees, must have their participation verifiable at all times. This requires that all participants keep their cameras on and remain present in front of their screen for the entire duration of the training. Participants may keep themselves muted unless requested to answer questions by the trainer to verify understanding. This may occur at any point during the training. If participants do not comply with these terms and conditions, they will be ineligible for certification.
