Webinar – ADHD uncovered: a practical guide for GPs

Webinar – ADHD uncovered: a practical guide for GPs

Increase your understanding of the symptoms and diagnostic criteria of ADHD

With increasing public awareness of ADHD, GPs are now at the front line of identifying and supporting management of this condition. Up to 10% of children and 5% of adults exhibit ADHD symptoms, indicating there is a heightened need for GPs to understand their role in supporting these patients.

Though current Australian legislation requires input from a paediatrician or psychiatrist for a formal diagnosis of ADHD, GPs are vital in the early identification and referral for these patients. Untreated or poorly managed ADHD has far-reaching consequences, including a greater likelihood of poor performance in school, lower income vocation, criminal behaviour, and substance abuse.
