Alex Kaethner is an experienced cardiac physiologist, long time Territory resident and the founder of the Strong Hearts Cardiac Screening Service.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this session participants will be able to:
- Identify the available referral pathways for cardiac testing.
- Describe the services that Strong Hearts offers.
- Explain the role of echocardiography in the early detection of rheumatic heart disease (RHD).
- Discuss the potential future role of rural/remote primary health workers in echocardiographic detection of RHD.
