Online, Free, Two-Day Training – CBT-T: A Ten-Session Model for Eating Disorders with Prof. Tracey Wade
Don’t miss this opportunity
Anglicare’s Right Care, Right Place (RCRP) Program is delivering this free CBT-T workshop developed by Glenn Waller.
CBT-T is a brief, structured psychological intervention delivered over just 10 sessions. For people presenting with a non-underweight eating disorder, it leads to similar improvements as the longer-form CBT-E model (usually 20-40 sessions), including meaningful reductions in binge-eating and purging behaviours, improved psychosocial functioning, and significant reductions in co-occurring depression and anxiety symptoms (Paphiti & Newman, 2023).
For services managing long wait times and limited resources, brief models like CBT-T offer a more cost-effective treatment option. There’s also good evidence for its use beyond specialist settings: Australian student psychologists have successfully delivered CBT-T to adults with mild to moderate, non-underweight eating disorders, making it a viable model of care across a range of clinician experience levels.
Who Should Attend this Workshop?
Health professionals who work with people living with eating disorders.
