Menzies School of Health Research invites any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, who may be interested in attending this free hepatitis B training and can play a role in hep B knowledge and care in community.

Are you a health worker, trainee, clinic staff, or community member? We encourage all to attend. We especially encourage former participants to come along, share their stories and facilitate some sessions at the Desert Knowledge Centre (DKA) on the 13th of August 2025.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce are vital partners in the path to viral hepatitis elimination. Deepen your knowledge of hepatitis B management and learn alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders and peers from around the Northern Territory.

This workshop will help you:

• learn more about hepatitis B,
• how common hep B is,
• how it’s passed on and
• how to prevent getting hep B
• understand your role in managing hepatitis B, including health promotion about healthy living
