Free, Darwin Workshop: Family-Based Therapy (the Maudsley Approach): An Evidence-Based Treatment for Eating Disorders in Young People
Don’t miss this free workshop.
Anglicare’s Right Care, Right Place Program invites clinicians to attend this Family-Based Therapy (FBT) Workshop. FBT, also known as the Maudsley Approach, is an evidence-based treatment for eating disorders in young people.
The approach empowers parents to take an active role in restoring their child’s nutrition and health. The therapy occurs in three phases: weight restoration, returning control over eating to the adolescent, and addressing developmental issues and relapse prevention.
FBT emphasises collaboration, avoids blame, and supports the family as a key resource in recovery.
