CPD Dinner Forum: Assessment and Management of Insomnia with Dr David Cunnington, Alice Springs
The RANZCP NT and the NT PHN invite Central Australian Psychiatrists and GPS to join us for an evening of professional development, followed by dinner, with Dr David Cunnington at the Hilton Alice Springs
Dr Cunnington will be providing an in-depth look into the development of sleep apnoea and insomnia and outline the national resources available for best practice for managing sleep disorders.
Presenter
Dr David Cunnington is a Sunshine Coast based sleep physician, and Co-founder of the Online sleep resource, SleepHub.com.au. David trained in sleep medicine both in Australia and at Harvard Medical School and has been practising sleep medicine for the last 20 years, treating people with a range of sleep problems.
David’s recent research has been in developing non-drug treatments such as cognitive behavioural therapy & mindfulness mediation for insomnia and other sleep disorders. His research and commentaries on sleep have been published in leading medical journals such as Annals of Internal Medicine and The British Medical Journal

- The Assessment and Management of Insomnia
- The national resources available for best practice for managing sleep disorders
Health Pathways
Northern Territory HealthPathways offer clinicians clear guidance for assessing and managing particular symptoms or conditions during the point of care. Pathways include information for referrers and requests to services in the local health system.
