ASHM Webinars – “Hepatitis B for Nurses and Midwives Pilot”

This course will provide Nursing and Midwifery Professionals with advanced practical skills and knowledge in hepatitis B nursing.

Who Should Attend?

Nursing and Midwifery Professionals working with patients at risk of or living with hepatitis B.

Course Outline

The course is delivered in two 2-hour sessions. The first session includes presentations that introduce the epidemiology of hepatitis B, vaccination and prevention, understanding testing, and serology, initial assessment includes Fibro scan assessment and the cultural context of hepatitis B nursing and midwifery.

The second session includes case discussions and presentations on monitoring and management of chronic hepatitis B and HCC surveillance.

This course will consist of:

  • Clinical Foundations of Hepatitis B (please complete before coming to the live sessions)
  • Live session 1
  • Live session2
  • Hepatocellular Carcinoma Video Presentation
  • Post-course survey
