Background

Family, domestic, and sexual violence (FDSV) including child sexual abuse is a recognised and serious challenge facing the Northern Territory. Therefore, NT PHN will be commissioning responses under 2 initiatives of the Department of Health and Aged Care.

The funding forms part of a suite of initiatives to reduce all forms of FDSV against women and children and supports the implementation of the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022-32.

Funding options

This tender application relates to 2 funding opportunities.

Funding Opportunity 1: Supporting the primary care sector response to family, domestic and sexual violence and child sexual abuse by improving capacity of primary care to recognise, respond and refer impacted individuals with FDSV to other services and supports.

Funding Opportunity 2: Supporting Recovery from family, domestic and sexual violence is a pilot program that will provide FDSV-specific trauma-informed care and access to trauma-informed mental health care to victims-survivors as part of their longer-term recovery.

Both activities will need to be coordinated with initiatives under the NT Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Reduction Framework.
