Funding coverage

Grants of up to $10,000 are available for targeted, short-term local activities that supplement existing activities and arrangements (not replace or duplicate them). We encourage interested parties to be creative. Some examples to achieve this include:

• Employing additional staff dedicated to do a quality improvement initiative that your service does not have capacity to undertake, which looks into understanding enablers/barriers and how to improve your service delivery to best meet your patient needs.
• Undertake consultation to develop shared-care workflows with relevant service providers in primary and tertiary care.
• develop resources such as guideline and flowchart for referral pathways and primary care actions during wait times.
• Patient-facing / clinician to clinician resource development e.g. videos, posters.
• Reasonable supports to develop an in-house community of practice, networking or professional development event, such as venue rental, catering, travel, income loss recognition for private practice clinicians to attend engagements.

Funding cannot be utilised for:

• Clinical service delivery.
• Activities that are not sustainable past 30 June 2026 or require ongoing funding.
• Activities under existing funding mechanisms, e.g. MBS, activity based funding, hospital/NTG funding and other funding avenues.
• Capital asset purchases.
• Funding for incentives, including gift-cards, vouchers, staff bonuses and cash-like products.
• Vehicle hire, refurbishment of premises and other activities unrelated to this grant opportunity.
