Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training reimbursement

NT PHN invites expressions of interest from primary healthcare staff to complete training in the provision of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with reimbursement upon completion.

Course information

We are encouraging staff from primary care providers to complete the nationally recognised course “HLTAID009 – Providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation” with St John Ambulance.

This training is essential for all staff working in primary care including nurses and administrative staff. 

Completing this course will enable staff to:

  • Recognise emergencies such as abnormal breathing or unresponsiveness
  • how to assess an emergency
  • how to perform CPR on adults, children and infants
  • correct use of an automated external defibrillator.

Completing this course will contribute to medical professional’s CPD hours and non-clinical members will ensure you keep your skills sharp and supporting  your organisation’s accreditation goals.

Limited spots are available.

Applicant criteria

You are eligible to submit an EOI if you are one of a 

  • General practitioner
  • Nurse
  • Practice Manager
  • Reception staff.

Reimbursement criteria, to be provided by applicant upon completion of course, includes:

  • A tax invoice as proof of payment
  • A copy of certificate of completion
  • A completed “Reimbursement Claim Form”
  • Have completed NT PHN evaluation
  • Complete course and submit the above documentation by 8 June 2025.
